Submitted as a contest entry for the 2016 Tomie dePaola Award (now the Narrative Art Award) through the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators. The prompt was to illustrate the passage: "When Little Red Riding Hood had only been walking a few minutes, a wolf came up to her. She didn’t know what a wicked animal he was, so she wasn’t afraid of him." Tomie wanted a unique visualization of the main character. I did not win, but it was fun coming up with my own version!
